MacBook Logic Board Repairin KL & Selangor

Most shops replace the whole board. We repair at component level — tracing the actual failed part on the board instead of swapping the most expensive component in the machine.

MacBook logic board exposed during component-level repair
Does this sound like yours

5 things customers describe

No power at all

No fan, no chime, no keyboard backlight. The board is not getting past its first power rail.

Powers on, then dies in seconds

A short on one of the rails. The system tries, detects the fault, and shuts itself down to protect the rest.

Charges but will not boot

The charging circuit works while something further down the chain does not. These are two different sections of the board.

Liquid was involved, weeks ago

Corrosion keeps spreading after the machine appears to recover. A board that worked for a month after a spill can still fail from the same spill.

Ports or Wi-Fi stopped working

A single failed IC rather than the whole board. This is exactly the case where component-level repair saves the machine.

How we work through it

Diagnosis before quote, in this order

  1. 01

    Visual and microscope inspection

Before any power is applied. Corrosion, burnt components and previous repair attempts all change the plan.

  2. 02

Measure the power rails in order

Board repair is a sequence, not a guess. We follow the rails from input to CPU and find where the chain breaks.

  3. 03

    Isolate the failed component

Short-circuit tracing, thermal behaviour and schematic comparison against a known-good board of the same A-number.

  4. 04

Repair at component level, then soak-test

Replace the specific failed part, then run the machine under load before we call it done. Board repair carries 180 days on the board work itself.

Board work under the microscope — tracing the failed component instead of swapping the board

Board work under the microscope — tracing the failed component instead of swapping the board

Board-level work is the hardest thing we do and the honest answer is that not every board survives. We diagnose first and tell you what we found before you commit to anything.

Pulled from our repair records since 2025 — matched on the A-number and EMC code, because display assemblies, batteries and boards differ between machines that share the same marketing name.

Straight answers

What customers ask us

Why not just replace the whole board?+

Because a board is the most expensive part in the machine, and most board faults are one component. Replacing the whole board when a single IC failed means you pay for the other 200 working components too.

Can you recover my data from a dead board?+

On Intel MacBooks with a removable SSD, usually yes. On M-series and later Intel models the storage is soldered to the board, which changes the answer — we tell you which case yours is before starting.

The liquid spill was months ago and it worked fine+

That is the most common board-repair story we hear. Corrosion is slow and does not stop on its own. It is not too late, but it is worse than it was.

What if the board cannot be repaired?+

Some boards are beyond component-level repair — severe corrosion, or damage to a section that cannot be sourced. We tell you that outcome plainly rather than quoting something that will not hold.

Have some problems with my handphone, whatsapp them and get fast response. Sent my handphone for check up and get the result on same day (they offer free check up), estimated waiting time around 2-3 hours. Clear and easy to understand explanation on my handphone issue.

The A-number is printed on the underside of the machine. With that and a short description we can usually tell you what it is before you come in. Diagnosis is free.
