A swelling cell under the trackpad mimics a trackpad fault. This one check saves customers from paying for the wrong repair, so it comes before anything else.

We map exactly which keys and which zones fail, because the pattern tells us whether it is switch, ribbon or board.

Confirm what your generation allows
Some models take an individual keyboard; on others it is bonded into the top case. We tell you which yours is before quoting — it is a big difference in scope.

That is liquid damage, not a keyboard fault — and it may be spreading to the board underneath. Treat it as urgent and bring it in rather than waiting to see if it dries out.
Can you replace just the one broken key?+
It depends entirely on the generation. On some we can; on others the keyboard is bonded into the top case and a single key is not a separate part. We check your A-number and tell you.
Is a jumping cursor always the trackpad?+
No — more often it is a swollen battery pushing up underneath it. We check that first, because it is both the cheaper and the more likely answer.
Does the Touch Bar count as keyboard?+
It is a separate assembly with its own failure modes. Tell us on WhatsApp if the Touch Bar is the part misbehaving.
